CC, you have just shown yourself to be the possessor of excellent taste. Richard Thompson is one of the very best guitarist/songwriter/singers on the planet, and has been since Fairport.

While the rest of the Ottawa was marveling that the Tragically Hip and Black Eyed Peas were going to be appearing at Bluesfest, I was clearing my schedule for Thompson. (AND Ray Davies, speaking of quintessentially British sixties songwriting geniuses).

I never get tired of this song (or Shoot Out The Lights or Wall of Death). Perfect. Just perfect.

I love Wall of Death, too.

And "Beeswing". And "Meet on the Ledge". And "Waltzing's For Dreamers". And "Walkin' on Wire"...

Dylan may have called his album "Blood on the Tracks", but Thompson puts it there.
