Stupid ethnic humour. Deal with it.

(CC NEWS) -- After having dug to a depth of 10 yards last year, Manitoba scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion that their provincial ancestors already had a fully-functioning telephone network more than 100 years ago.

Not to be outdone by their colleagues in Manitoba, Alberta scientists dug to a depth of 20 yards and, shortly after, headlines in the Calgary Herald newspaper read:

'Alberta archaeologists have found traces of 200-year-old copper wire and have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than Manitoba.'

One week later, the Delisle Independent, a local newspaper in Saskatchewan, reported the following:

'After digging as deep as 30 yards in fields near Delisle, Lance Levyakovskychuk, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Lance has therefore concluded that, 300 years ago, Saskatchewan had already gone wireless.'

That's awesome. Does it have anything to do with gmail allowing you to send emails from the past now? Hee hee.
