Do as I say, not as I do.

Today's edition of "Great Moments in Right Wing Hypocrisy" is brought to you by ThinkProgress.

In a recent interview with GQ, former Bush adviser Karl Rove criticized Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) for “not wearing a flag lapel pin,” saying that “to a lot of ordinary people, putting that flag lapel pin on is true patriotism.” As Rove made this comment, however, interviewer Lisa Depaulo noticed that he wasn’t wearing a pin:

DEPAULO: You’re not wearing a flag pin, Karl.

ROVE: Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. But I respect those who consciously get up in the morning and put a flag lapel pin on.

So let me see if I have this straight, Karl. It’s unpatriotic for Obama not to wear a flag lapel pin, but it’s no big deal when you don’t wear one. Is that about right?

These people make me so very tired.

And furthermore. You know what I think is unpatriotic, you lying, weaselly little fuck? Cherry-picking evidence to advance a fraudulent war with no end in sight after 6 long years, 4,013 confirmed dead American service members, over 28,000 American casualties and untold tens if not hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqi civilians. All just so your boss, the frat boy president, can work out his daddy issues on the world stage. So why don't you take your flag lapel pin and shove it up your ass. I realize you'll probably have to manoeuvre it around your head but give it try.

Do you ever have an idea of your own, instead of just bitching about other people? Is that what you're all about, one insult after another? Looks like it. Are you capable of coherent thought?

So says Sean (profile not available) bitching about another person. Irony!

This is a political blog. The politicals supply the fodder.

Better question? Why do those hypocrites say and do such stupid things?

Better yet? why do people defend them?
Coherent thought? I would say that There is NO thought going on whatsoever in RWA la la land. Just mindless acceptance of lies, tripe and stupidity.

Thanks for stopping by and proving my point so perfectly, Sean.

Quite obliging of him, I'd say.

Sean's not doing any lifting. He's touching me in my private area.

Seriously, I feel violated every time one these douches invites himself to the party just to sneer.

Well said, Lulu.

Oh and for those wingnuts listening, putting a fucking flag on your lapel isn't patriotism. It's bullshit. It's just as much a crock of shit as putting a little Fish on the back of your car and claiming you're a good Christian.

You wanna be patriotic? Gather your knuckle draggers and go protest the fact that the troops you supposedly support were sent into combat without proper armor or training. Or that when they were sent back from the meat grinder they were housed in a hospital full of mold, rats, and roaches. Or that the Gov refused to buy anti-IED vehicles locally so they could give the contracts to companies they were beholden to who wouldn't be able to deliver them until 2010 or 2011 on the earliest. Or that while all of these things were going on, the administration attempted to distract the people from this policy disasters by upping terrorist threat levels based on some schmucks 'Gut feeling'.
