But tell us how you really feel, Peter.

Wow. Really. Just ... wow. Via ThinkProgress, we have the following sterling example of Compassionate Christian Conservatism:

Discussing his opposition to the Uniting American Families Act — “which would allow gay Americans the same right straight Americans have to sponsor a foreign partner for citizenship” — Family Research Council Vice President Peter Sprigg recently offered rhetorical support for exporting gay men and women from America. “I would much prefer to export homosexuals from the United States than to import them into the United States because we believe homosexuality is destructive to society,” said Sprigg.

Sprigg then went to to say “What? Why are you looking at me like that? This is a great idea — they could have their own gay country where they could do gay things and just, you know, be gay. Sheesh. Why do I always have to be the brains of the operation?”

LuLusnark. Hmmmm, let’s see. Racism, misogyny and now homophobia. Why I do believe this girl has hit the trifecta of wingnutty goodness today. Yay me!!

Hey wasn't there another group of people that were "exported" from some country because folks like Sprigg thought they were destructive to society?

Gosh, they did that first and then tried some different tactics later...

Now, what was the name of the at group? No wait, it'll come to me...
