Punk'd!

Oh, my ... this has the potential to be amusing, in a Holocaust, death camp, Kate McMillan kind of way.

Even from the perspective of her drones, I can't figure out how this is supposed to work.

- Kate pretends to be a holocaust survivor
- Kinsella responds with respect
- This somehow reflects WELL on Kate, and poorly on Kinsella.

How is that supposed to work?

well gosh, it is retardopalooza over there. what a sad herd of goobers she surrounds herself with. i was especially creeped out by the dudes wanking it up over the picture of her squatting on her bike. because nothing says canadian conservatism in the 21st century like a bunch of jerk offs praying to their own l'il ilsa, she wolf of the prairie.

I particularly enjoyed the twin arguments:

- Kate didn't do this, how DARE you suggest it, she'll SUE your ass!

and.

- Kate, you're a comic genius, what a coup, har har har...

Do you suppose ALL these people have to get help tying their shoes in the morning?

If that's all she's got, she really doesn't have much left.

Since she's been suitably and predictably oblique about who exactly sent the e-mail, she's left herself quite a degree of plausible deniability.

Man, that's executive class lying. And her monkeys adore her for that, since it's the kind of chicanery they can only hope to aspire to.

By the way...terleski7.com, the domain to which Kinsella's email was attached...that belongs to Merle Teleski's campaign site. Isn't he the one Levant is suing?

Do all of these people live in the same basement or what?

In typical fashion, JoJo has "mixed feelings" about this one. Does that pathetic woman ever take an actual definitive stand on anything? Other than blindly hating Dalton McGuinty and liberals in general, I mean.

I didn't notice any cursing in there so I guess it must be ok then.

It’s completely tangential to this discussion, but I couldn’t help point that out. It’s so typical of this morally bankrupt douchebag’s method of operation. On the one hand, it’s “Hey, look folks, KKKate pulled off the greatest, most hilarious joke, evah!!!” and on the other, it’s “Ah, but maybe she went too far… Gee, I really can’t decide and have mixed feelings about it. What do YOU think sheeple? Let me know with your comments!” Then, throughout the discussion that will ensue, she’ll waffle this way and that, generally siding with those who want to bash Kinsella (because she hates him) while tacitly approving of KKKate (because she aspires to the levels of popular adoration she has in Wingnuttia), but never really coming out in support of what she did, or actually condemning it outright, thereby giving her plausible deniability all the way around. She knows that it was a despicable, morally reprehensible “joke” but she’s too fucking gutless to actually come out and say that in a forthright manner. Instead, she’ll just disingenuously play footsie with it for a while before moving on to her next faux outrage of alleged liberal perfidy. And so it goes...

Oh my ... Stephen Taylor must be so proud of his superstar, award-winning, isn't the Holocaust hilarious blogger.

Ti-Guy--that's Terlesky, not Terleski. You had me goin', there.

Dawg: I think they're the same person...I think he's spelled his name two different ways. Here's his Calgary alderman campaign site, and here's his Lethbridge campaign site.

Anyway, I draw the line at fraud, which is what this transparently is. If you support that, you condone what is most of the time considered a criminal act. Coming from "law-and-order" Conservatives, it's very hypocritical.

Now, if the joke had been good, or good-natured, that would balance it out. But this is just some white trash Mayberry Machiavelli con in service of a low-interest/low-impact feud that only shows how juvenile the Dog Breeder is.

You just wonder how many cons she's been involved in, over her lifetime? That kind of behaviour takes practice.

"A voice that you can depend on" that can't even decide how to spell his own name?

Ok, I can lower myself to the Lowest Common Denominator for humor now and then (although Larry the Cable Guy needs him some beatings), but I just don't get this whatsoever. How is this comedy or how is it a mildly humorous scam on Kinsela? Am I the dense one or is there something I'm totally missing?

Well, maybe he decided to go back to his roots and spell it in its native form...which would be -ski.

I'm assuming you have to pretty drunk to find KKKate's actions funny or even coherent.

Which might explain why she thought it was funny or even coherent.

Ezra Levant, of course, has no excuse.

I think this is yet another illustration of how the right-wingnuts just fail to grasp the essence of "funny" and "humour"... For whatever reason, they can't seem to distinguish a nasty spitball from a witty barb, or tell the difference between hilarious absurdity of a spoof in The Onion from a ham-fisted lampoon in one of their puerile e-media outlets.

Jay said...

Come on, surely someone must have even a minute idea of what was remotely humorous about this situation? Was it funny that Kinsela bought into the scam? Was it funny that Kate's dike-bike was supposed to have the same type of number sequence as a Jewish Concentration Camp victim? I hate it when I feel totally clueless about something like this, so I'm going to keep asking.

Jay: There's an episode of Corner Gas where it appears that Davis's idea of an hilarious practical joke is to throw a cinder block at someone's car and run away laughing. I know this sense of 'humour' isn't typical of Saskatchewanians and yet here we have a real-life example.

She lied and Kinsella believed it. Ha, ha! It helps, I guess, if you're an actual sociopath with no understanding of other people's sufferings.

I actually got this pensee from KMG in a conversation this evening....but it's too good to let languish in obscurity.

Pensee:
Kate, Richard and their many winged monkeys fling shitty poop like this rather constantly in Blogdom and yet have the temerity to complain very loudly about a lack of fairness when people point out that their hands are stinky.

Although this was said about somebody else by KMG, I think it works.
