Uh oh ...

I'm going to let the chicks handle this one.

AFTERSNARK: I have to admit, I'm a bit confused by a pro-life site whose motto is, "Canada without abortion. By choice." I mean, if you plan on outlawing abortion, I'm not quite sure where the "choice" part fits in there. Then again, I've always found pro-lifers confusing.

I have absolutely no patience for this heinous fuckery any more ...

The "choice" part comes in when they decide that your choice is wrong -- then they'll cancel your choice and make another choice on your behalf. That, in effect, will give you even more choice. More than those who made the "right" choice in the first place, in fact, so you'd actually end up getting more than your fair share of choice. But that's okay, because they have enough choice for everyone, and they insist on sharing. And they mean it.

See how it works?

I don't know where these pro-lifers find all the time...shouldn't they be busy firing babies out of their wombs or something?

All this jaw-jawing and the brown hordes out-breeding us on top of it all.

...It is to weep.

Lulu: What do you expect from an ex-employee of ol' Ezra's? If you look a little down the page, she thanks him. It's so sweet...

SC, you are correct, sir. From Andrea Mrozek's site bio:

She then moved to Calgary to work as associate editor at the Western Standard.

Maybe stupid and intolerant is contagious?

They just want people to stop having so much sex, or enjoying it so much, or having it guilt-free without any devastating consequences and permanent, long-term damage through disease or unwanted children.

What's wrong with that, you liberal fascists? Just because you all believe in forced intercourse doesn't mean decent girls and boys have to.

I welcome the presence of these people in my pants and under my covers.

Christ...it's Orwell's Junior Anti-Sex League right before my very eyes.

Well, of course there will be no abortion...by choice. Because she and her friends will muster a renaissance of right thinking that will lead to an overwhelming majority of Canadians backing a new law banning abortion. And...that will be that. Because once they've banned abortion, it will never be revisited again, because it's the law. Because people chose it to be the law. Legally. Strong, moral choice.

Never mind they don't take that tactic when it comes to something they want to change.

I wish there was some way to neon-sign publicize what it was like to be an *unwillingly* pregnant woman before there was legal access to abortion. Forced-pregnancy crusaders are relying on the ignorance of the young about the Before Times. ...And the weird lot of pro-surprise-pregnancy-to-term films out this last year. I'd like to live in the alt-verse where things turn out so great in every aspect for perky white girls who don't abort.

Holy crap, I think I went to school with one of them!

In all fairness, I must say that I found this quote from Mrozek's bio to be surprisingly... reasonable:

"Her ultimate, long term goal - no secret agenda here: To create a Canada where demand for abortions dwindles and decreases until there’s none left, not because it was forced upon anyone but because that is what women choose."

If that is in fact her goal, I would have to say I have no problem with it. I don't personally feel the need to reduce the demand for abortions to zero, but hey - knock yourselves out.

Unfortunately, this does not jibe with the blog's stated Plan to "speak confidently to their views on why abortion is not a woman’s right"

Nope. Sorry. You lost me there.
