If you build it, they will come.

Answers in Genesis, the whackos behind the Creation Museum, have a nifty new science journal which they’re touting as “Cutting-edge creation research. Free.” (no doubt because no sane person would pay for it - but I digress yet again). The Answers Research Journal, with a grand total of 3 articles, is being pimped as:

... a professional, peer-reviewed technical journal for the publication of interdisciplinary scientific and other relevant research from the perspective of the recent Creation and the global Flood within a biblical framework. All published papers will be available to download free of charge 24/7 from the journal’s website, enabling people anywhere in the world to print out as many copies as they want, whenever they want, and email the papers to friends and colleagues. Join us in building the Creation model.

Well, don’t mind if I do. CC, you get the Lego® blocks and I’ll get the Play-Doh®. PSA, you can direct because everyone knows that all actors really just want to be directors.

Via that magnificent bastard PZ Myers.

LuLu-snark. For even more fun, check out the Buffalo Beast (he of the "50 Most Loathsome People") and his undercover trip to the Creation Museum - fun for the whole family!

They just misplaced the period in their description. It should read "Cutting-edge creation. Research free."

Heh. Zing!

Nicely "designed" site though, you have to admit.

Clearly, the Creator is workin' that sweet, sweet voodoo that He do.

Translated: We paid some guys to throw some baffle-gab terminology into our usual tripe to give it that science-ish sheen. I'm most keen to see the "scientific and other relevant research" 'cos doing research from a set perspective won't invalidate any results. No siree ma'am.

"All published papers will be available to download free of charge 24/7 from the journal’s website..."

Yeah. Not like those other web sites that close down at 6 pm, even though people are just getting home and haven't stoked the coal fired Computron 5000. Hardly enough time to build a head of steam. But surely they can't be allowing their website to be issuing papers on the Sabbath, the Lord's day, the day of rest! Have they no shame?

"...enabling people anywhere in the world to print out as many copies as they want, whenever they want, and email the papers to friends and colleagues."

So I can print out as many copies as I want and email them to friends and colleagues? Oh blessings upon us all.

"Join us in building the Creation model."

Gosh that sounds super! As long as Wayne doesn't huff all of the Creation glue again.

"I think the universe was created 6000 years ago in six days and that Man was created from dirt and woman was created from a Rib." - says one scientist

"Yup." - says his peer, "Prayaise Geeeesus!"

Ah the peer review process. See it in all it's glory.
