The entertainment value in being cruel.
Gather 'round, kids, 'cuz Uncle CC has a job for y'all. Regular readers will almost certainly know about our constant needling of Blogging Tory "Neo Conservative", whose main claim to fame is ... well, actually, it's not clear that he has just one claim.
There was his delightful pooh-poohing of Taser-related deaths, as well as his obvious amusement at a Toronto mother that had two of her children murdered. Yes, he's a real bucket of conservative compassion, that Neo. So here's the idea.
It's not at all clear why Blogging Tory co-founder Stephen Taylor insists on keeping around vile little retards like Neo (among others), so our job is to make Stephen's life as uncomfortable as possible. To that end, I propose that we not ignore Neo. Au contraire, I think it would be only appropriate that he get all the attention his infantile heart desires. But on our terms.
From now on, when Neo publishes something typically racist or homophobic or just plain stupid or breathtakingly loathsome, that should be pointed out. But rather than just referring to "Blogging Tory Neo Conservative," I think we should hang Neo around Stephen's neck by describing him as, say, "Blogging Tory political pundit and Stephen Taylor colleague Neo Conservative." Don't you think that would be so much more fun?
In a nutshell, I think it's time for BT co-founder Taylor to start taking responsibility for the despicable cretins that blog under his banner, and the best way to do that is to tie him directly, and by name, to each and every example of BT idiocy that ends up published there.
And, in the spirit of the Blogging Tories, you don't even need to do it honestly. Hell, if I decide to link to something particularly heinous over at Neo's place, I might even refer to him as Taylor's "co-blogger," or something equally exaggerated and misleading. After all, if bending the truth and twisting reality is good enough for Canada's conservatives, it's good enough for me.
So let's not avoid the oozing crapulence that is Blogging Tory "Neo Conservative." Instead, let us joyously celebrate the dumbfuckitude, and make sure Stephen Taylor shares in the credit of every word of it. Because when Blogging Tory "Neo Conservative" comes up with another gem, we don't want Stephen Taylor to miss out on his share of the glory.
Whoops, that would be "Neo Conservative's BT co-blogger Stephen Taylor." Damn. I almost forgot myself there.
