And a new day dawns over at The Western Standard.

Or maybe not.

P.S. You have to wonder just what kind of sin you've committed when even Kathy Shaidle thinks you've crossed a line. It's sort of like Dr. Roy making fun of someone's lack of intelligence. Only 20 times more surreal.

Wow. Just... wow. Jaw-dropping.

Um, what were you saying about "The Angry, Angry Left" again?

I couldn't get passed the first paragraph:

"Man, I hope that Barak Obama is the Democratic nominee for President. Not because I like him – in fact, I hate him on a personal level. Rarely has history delivered up at such a critical moment such an inconsequential figure with such hopes invested in him. Every time I see his face – pale and strangely off-putting like that of a transsexualmy blood boils. But, still, I pray that God is kind enough to deliver us such an opponent: as annoying as the man is, tearing apart the Coke-snorting, criminal-coddling, terrorist-appeasing, possibly-Mohammadean Democratic nominee is going to be a lot of fun."

When Adam Yoshida finally comes completely off the spool, those who run The Western Standard should be held accountable. They'll be no "he always seemed like a quiet man" excuses for them.

Shaidle's piece is sheer, vile hypocrisy. She gives new exposure to the stupidest elements of the Western Standard piece - and her punchline is a sanctimonious "Gosh, maybe not quite so much...but here's what I REALLY hate about him".

Reminds of the Little Willie series. Remember?

Little Willie, with a shout
Poked the baby's eyeballs out
Jumped on the to make them pop
Mommy said, "Now, Willie...stop."

Every quack and wingnut is crawling out of the woodwork over there now. It's pretty funny actually.

Ironic, wasn't it Shaidle that wrote a pice of racist crap entry a few months back bemoaning Obama's mixed race ancestry?

I made it as far as Barak Hussein Obama, and gave up. Anyone who lacks the basic rudimentary intelligence to put together Barak Osama, or Obama Bin Laden, just doesn't deserve to be read. I mean god, it's not even hard. It's like his parents sat down and said "One day immature republicans will need to target our son with high-school name-game slurs. We'd better make it easy for them." Despite this, they still miss the target.

Not that it would be that funny in any case, but at least it would be a little clever. Certainly better than what the guy actually came up with.
