There's stupid, and then there's Wayne-level stupid.

Blogging Tory "Wayne" (who, after months of blogging, has yet to come to terms with those new-fangled hyperlink thingies) manages to purely take our breath away once again:

Modern Liberalism/Lefty/Dipper - Apeasement, eternal generation after generation welfare, REgressive taxation, public institutions to represent state propagada and...oh yes, DEVIANT sex/lifestyles. The end of any great democracy.

Yes, Wayne ... how about you Righties tell us all about Teh Deviant? Go ahead -- we're waiting.

P.S. No, I'm not going to let Wayne leave any more comments here. He makes people stupider just by showing up.

Well it's impressive that Wayne's word count here is at least double the word count on his blog. But what's great about Wayne is that he so articulately identifies the deepest, darkest fears of the unthinking right-winger (as in the quote above).

It's nice to have someone come out and say what they're all projecting.

Perhaps Wayne could name a great democracy that came out of strong conservative principles? One that didn't come out of, say, revolution or leftist demands for suffrage? I'll look forward to seeing his thoughts on his blog.

For a change.

I used to think of ignorance and lack of experience as a type of innocence...admirable in its purity and lack of taint or guile.

I don't believe that at all anymore. I think it's downright evil...that it's a solipsism far more entrenched and aggressively hostile to reality than I ever thought possible.

Wayne is a perfect example of that. I'd be relieved to find out if he was simply a pathological liar or suffers from a clear mental disorder of some type, but I have my doubts.

Maybe I’m just in a foul mood these days, but I can’t abide listening to the inchoate, hysterical shrieking of insufferable buffoons like Wayne Lemon, or that Paul character at Stellar Crap. They’re all dumb as rocks, and perversely insist on removing any doubt of that being the case with each and every unedifying turd they post on their dismal little blogs. Why don’t they take their slobbering barstool ignorance and go talk about hockey or wrestling, or… something they might actually have a qualified opinion about? Dirt farming, perhaps in the case of Wayne.

I've said this before...I'd be far more sanguine about all this if the same type of ignorance weren't on display among opinion leaders of what calls itself conservatism these days (albeit tarted up with more sophisticated language and purveyed by people whose connections to wealth and power provide at least the veneer of credibility).

Lemon isn't repeating anything that far more important and "serious" people haven't said before...the whole George Soros conspiracy has been floating around American media for years now. That's what bothers me, even more so when I see it repeated by Canadian Conservatives, who appear to have no sense of place or contextual understanding of Canadian issues and who increasingly act like some sort of fifth column, adopting Republican tactics and importing so-called "culture war" issues to coarsen Canadian political discourse regardless of whether the issues have meaning here or not.

Lemon finished his post with "the enemy is within." So what's he saying? Those of us who are opposed to American rightwing interests are his enemies?

Do these people even know what country they live in anymore?

Sorry, I'm mixing up this post with the other one about Lemon. Not that hard to do, since the stupidity is indistinguishable.

LOL. You might say that their stupidity is fungible.

I haven't read Lemon's post yet, so I can't comment on that (although the ominous conclusion sounds pretty ridiculous), but one of the lunatic rants by "Paul" at CJ yesterday followed a similar line of stating that "(L)iberals" are his "enemy" because they threaten his "way of life." Whatever the heck that means. He also ran several frothing, spittle-flecked posts as part of his vitriolic War on Gore (Did you know he's fat! and a liar! A big, fat liar! Liar!!!!!).

Yawn.

I know. It's all the same fucking crap. Countless assertions about reality that you know you'd have to spend hours researching in order to finally figure out that the boobs are objectively talking out of their arses.

The one question "conservatives" will never answer: "How do you know that?" All of our lives would be immensely simplified if they bothered with that one.

Apeasement - Favored trading status to China despite human rights violations

eternal generation after generation welfare - Enron, Haliburton, the S&L's, the Telecoms, Exxon, Blackwater

REgressive taxation - Bullshit tax cuts that end up making the rich richer along with BILLIONS in tax loopholes so oil companies can avoid paying taxes and actually GET subsidies from the government.

public institutions to represent state propagada - CDC claiming condoms don't work and that abortions cause breast cancer. NASA scientists suppressed on climate change info.

DEVIANT sex/lifestyles. - Larry Craig, Mark Foley, Ted Haggard, countless Catholic priests, Reverend Gary Aldridge, Jimmy Swaggart, John R. Curtain, Howard Scott Heldreth, Pastor Mike Hintz, Craig J. Spense, Beverly Russel, Earl 'Butch' Kimmerling,

The end of any great democracy.

Yep. Too bad you don't realize that YOU people are 85% of the cause.

Tell you what, when you get your own house cleaned up then you can criticize other people.
