When reality and Kate McMillan collide.

First, there was this terrifically upbeat prognosis on Iraq and security and purple fingers and what-not:

"One by one, the 18 provinces of Iraq are being turned over to the Iraqis"

This was followed by your humble correspondent's three-part series on the aforementioned delusional rubbish here, here and here.

And, now, one can't wait for the inevitable spin, tap dancing and excuses when Kate and her illiterate band of flying monkeys try to deal with this:

Iraqi Army Unable To Take Over Within A Year, Report Says

Iraq's army, despite measurable progress, will be unable to take over internal security from U.S. forces in the next 12 to 18 months and "cannot yet meaningfully contribute to denying terrorists safe haven," according to a report on the Iraqi security forces published today.

I'm guessing it's Bill Clinton's fault.

Also note that al-Maliki said last year they'd be able to in a year. Another "Friedman" I guess.

Heavens. All they need is a bit of a Surge, and I'm sure everything will be fixed.
