"Bus? What b...?"

Yes, the Conservative Party of Canada has already disavowed any knowledge of his actions, so this should be amusing:

Cullen requests ethics investigation of Conservative MP

SMITHERS – The NDP has asked the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner to investigate the actions of Conservative MP for Cariboo-Prince George, Dick Harris in the riding of Skeena-Bulkley Valley. In a letter sent to the Commissioner, Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen contends that Mr. Harris has breeched sections 8 and 9 of the code under the Rules of Conduct for Members of the House of Commons.

On August 21st, Dick Harris issued a press release announcing the appointment of Sharon Smith as the “go-to” person for Skeena-Bulkley Valley constituents looking for access to the Federal government. Ms. Smith is the nominated Conservative candidate for the next general election. Mr. Harris suggested that those in ridings not represented by Conservatives MPs have a more difficult time getting government projects approved or even basic government services, like passport applications, processed.

And here's the best part (emphasis added):

“My offices have been absolutely deluged with calls, letters and emails from people across Canada, from people of all political stripes, who are outraged at this attempt by Stephen Harper’s Conservatives to circumvent our democratic system,” said Cullen. “It seems that Mr. Harris and his Conservative colleagues do not understand that it is the people of this country who decide who represents them, not politicians who meet behind closed doors.”

Why, yes, and maybe that left-wing blogswarm did have something to do with this, so y'all can take a bow.

Tune in next week when, in angry retaliation, a Blogging Tory freeps an online poll, or something.
