Ah ... the reality ... it burns!!!

The Big Weiner experiences a sudden, jarring episode of painful self-awareness:

"I am not a blogger ..."

Sometimes, you need to point out the unintentional hilarity. And, sometimes, it just races ahead of you, announcing itself joyfully to the world.

BONUS WEINER-PRODUCED HILARITUDE:

... given how the "blogosphere" has been deteriorating thanks to childish individuals as well as outright socio-/psychopaths, ..."

Am I on "Candid Camera?" Seriously ...

And then the dumb bast--I mean, pundit, sets up nine new blogs!

Well his About My Interesting Self page has changed yet again, so I guess he's rescinded his ex-blogger status. I'm having a hard time keeping up.

My theory, Dawg: Werner is preparing for the eventuality that, after the last few days' antics, he's going to be rejected by every aggregator in Canada. Thus he has to start enough blogs of his own to need his own aggregator.

Don't worry, Werner. Ross'll join in.

(Btw, I'm still chuckling about the "disk space" thing. Is he running his blog from a double-sided floppy or something?)

Here's the bit he scrubbed which just adds to the hilarity of his "I'm not a blogger" post.

No, m@ ... apparently, he will always have a home at Liberty Blogs.

Liberty Blogs: Because even batshit-crazy, bipolar sociopaths need a place where they can feel welcome.

I suggested that he could be removed from the blogroll because he states that he's no longer a blogger. This was the response:

I noticed his new blogs. If Werner wants to continue hanging around Liberty Blogs and have his blogs exposed for what they are, he's free to do so. I'm not interested in censoring the blogroll based on others experiences. Anyone who has issues with Werner can govern themselves accordingly. There are appropriate remedies under the law if they desire.

Hard to see punting him would be "censorship" but whatever. BBS obviously doesn't care about the thing all that much.

Prattles really is 200 pounds of crazy in a 150 pound sack, isn't he?

one hopes that werner will learn that the mirror is not a window. ha. werner learning, so very unlikely.

Looking at some of his writing, I've come up with a new theory (which is mine): the Rev. Paperboy Unified Weiner Prattles Theory of Literary Possession. My theory (which is mine) holds that Weiner is in fact possessed - not by the devil, but by the main character in John Kennedy O'Toole's classic novel "A Confederacy of Dunces" the legendary master of disaster Ignatius J. Reilly.

I like possessed by The Devil better...The Devil who wears a red leotard and has a plastic pitchfork poking at our bums.

...a lesser demon, obviously.

I'm pondering the idea of a "Shun Werner" resolution. Given his psychotic need for attention, the fact that his entire shtick is a desperate effort to provoke by any means, nothing...NOTHING....would drive him more nuts that to suddenly find himself completely and utterly ignored.

If, let's say, we all resolved as of Sept __ to simply remove him from all blogrolls, refrain from visiting any of his sites (which are not blogs, including the new one commenting on the blogosphere, except it's not) and ignored any of his posts...Inuit/Mennonite style...we could drive him right into an institution, where he could receive the attention he so obviously and urgently requires (which I know is the foremost concern of us all, he said piously.)

Would a "Shun Werner" campaign be "criminally libelous"? Just wondering.

Balbulican said...

Absolutely not. That's the beauty of it. It's just collective decision to implement the recommendation of Desiderata: Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

I am so in.
