If you blinked, you missed it.

Um ... come again, Doc?

More sharia justice?

This is pretty horrifying. Where are the leftists to denounce sharia law?

Gay Nigerians face Sharia death

Eighteen men have been remanded in prison following their arrest for alleged sodomy in northern Nigeria, the state-owned news agency, Nan, reports.

The men were arrested in a hotel in north-eastern Bauchi State, which is governed by the Islamic Sharia law.

The Sharia punishment for sodomy is death by stoning.

I'm sorry ... when exactly did it become a Blogging Tory thing to care about gay rights? Besides, everyone knows you don't kill gays by stoning; you beat them unconscious and tie them to a fence to die of exposure.

Geez, those Sharia folks can't get anything right, can they? Pikers.

Exhibit A: calling Dion a "fag" repeatedly in the comments at the roadkill blog. They just love their macho heterosexual man over there.

On the off chance the good doctor doesn't publish the comment I just made, here it is:

"Where are the leftists to denounce sharia law? "

Right here. I denounce ALL religious law. In fact, I was against Ontario instituting Sharia Law, as was the Provincial NDP.

But why let a little think like facts get in the way of a good straw man attack, eh doc?

So I have a question:

Where are the righties to denounce Christian law?

You know like here where "Kony began to target civilians with his increased military strength. Mutilations became commonplace (especially cutting off ears, lips, nose), and 1994 saw the first mass abduction of children and youth. The most famous of these was the Aboke abductions of 139 female students in October 1996. "

"The LRA continued to kill, torture, maim, rape, and abduct large numbers of civilians, virtually enslaving numerous children"

"The LRA rebels say they are fighting for the establishment of a government based on the biblical Ten Commandments. They are notorious for kidnapping children and forcing them to become rebel fighters or concubines. More than one-half-million people in Uganda's Gulu and Kitgum districts have been displaced by the fighting and are living in temporary camps, protected by the army."

This is pretty horrifying.

So, tell me again how its logical or ethical to imply that "leftists" are supporting sharia law just because they haven't "denounced" this (when they have)?

I certainly pity the diabetics of Montreal...how this guy managed to get a medical degree with that shocking lack of logic training is amazing. Or an indictment of McGill's medical school.

That little fucker...If I ever meet Roy Eappen in real life...

Is he still at McGill?

Maybe Roy got his doctorate the same way Dr. Hunter S. Thompson did?;)
Res ipsa loquitur -- let the good times roll, Dr. Roy.

Good gawd, I do believe this marks the first time I have ever agreed with the little tory dory.
His question implies that it is the prerogative of the left to agitate for justice, and I think I'd have to agree with him there,
especially since none of the other BTs seem to be showing any interest in this.

Their concern about gays in this regard is kind of an "enemy of my enemy" thing.

What are you going to do, Tiggy, challenge him to a fight? Didn't you refer to this behaviour as "redneck" when some commenter here made the same assertion to you?

I don't think it was on this blog, stalker.

Who knows what I'll do? I heard his voice sounds like he huffs helium, so maybe I'll just laugh at the dumb-assed closet case.

Stalker? Because I apparently read the same blogs you do, and remember a particularly silly comment you made? You flatter yourself.
