To pigeonhole Bill Kristol would be unfair.

An opening line that should go down in history:

I suppose I'll merely expose myself to harmless ridicule if I make the following assertion: George W. Bush's presidency will probably be a successful one.

Resolved: It would be unfair to characterize Bill Kristol as a "conservative" or "right-wing" journalist, as he is simply presenting an opinion based on what others have told him, and his own unvarnished, non-partisan research.

Discuss.

Let's step back from the unnecessary mistakes and the self-inflicted wounds that have characterized the Bush administration.

Yeah Bill, let’s just forget about that whole Katrina fiasco. Who cares anyway? It was mostly just a whole bunch of poor black folks anyway, right? Let’s just walk right away from that one and focus on what’s really important.

Well - like capturing bin Laden, it's a "potential success" - it just hasn't happened yet!
