Sorry ... how's that again?

2007:

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - In a patriotic July 4th speech to an invitation-only audience, President George W. Bush on Wednesday defended the U.S. military buildup in Iraq, saying victory will require "more patience, more courage and more sacrifice."

"However difficult the fight is in Iraq, we must win it," Bush said, telling members of the West Virginia Air National Guard that now is not the time to leave.

2003:

You can't possibly need a punchline for this.

The punchline is that somebody's going to have to pay for this war. The Joke's on us.
