Must ... resist ... cheap ... shot ...

I don't think "Freudian" even begins to cover that.

I'm going to burn in hell for this, aren't I?

To borrow from an old college friend:

"You're going to smoke a turd in hell for that one!"

... such a lovely visual...

Ha!...More of a man... Does anyone remember her tromping off the stage like a spooked Clydesdale when she was threatened with that cream pie?

Coulter is the embodiment of pants-wetting, panicky fear...she won't even agree to be in the physical presence of anyone who can challenge her boundless lying. Which is why she's a gun-nut, by the way.

Indeed, no leftist has any need to fear anything ... what, with their heads neatly buried in the sand and all ...

... except maybe hysterical predictions of a 4 degree temperature rise ... maybe ... in the next hundred years ... if you believe the predictions of those who can't get today's forecast right ...

... or the imagined (and constant) predictions of fascism descending on (America, Israel, [pick any liberal democracy])...

... or "Christianists" ...

... or "Islamophobes" ...

... or "homophobes" ...

... or the free market ...

... or cultural assimilation ...

... or the freedom to choose one's health-care provider ...

... or Dick Cheney ...

... the Carlyle Group ...

... or guns in the hands of ... anybody ...

... or SUVs ...

... or nuclear power ...

... or national missile defense systems ...

... or hunters ...

... or second hand smoke ...

... or tobacco companies ...

... or McDonald's ...

... hell, or "CORPORATIONS," in general ...

... or globalization ...

... or "Amerika" ...

... or Israel ...

... or their wall ...

... or Zionism ...

... or the Mossad ...

... or debate (see CC's next post).

Oh, Christ...it's back. I guess you've run out live chickens to bite heads off or kittens to roast, or something.

That's ok, nonny. Climate change will only affect the real world. The Flat Earth is safe.

So, Zorpheus, you LIKE SUVs and nuclear power plants, and you think Cheney and the "Christianists" are just peachy? Do you really not fear global warming?

Did I get it all wrong? Leftists fear NOTHING? Wow! You all ARE brave. Not only do you have no fear of global warming, you fear terrorists even less. You laugh in Al Qaeda's face and snap your fingers under bin Laden's nose! Such men!

But tell me: Who are these people who write, "America is scary," George Bush is like Hitler and is a danger to the world," etc.?

Nonny, shut the fuck up and read something. Come back when you have something intelligent to say.

stimplove,

Very well said, boy, and, may I add, ditto to you too.

Well she's got me there. Her adam's apple is WAY bigger than mine. Her penis probably is too which is why she always wears skirts, to hide the bulge.

I'd say people who have actually been paying attention for the last four years. But don't like that stop ya from making insults and bullshit accusations. After all that is what the right wing does best. It's not like they've been able to actually CATCH bin ladin after all this time. I mean it's hard to catch a six foot Saudi tied to a dialysis machine after all.

Nonny,

Why drive an SUV when I can drive a Toyota Tercel, that is cheaper to maintain and saves me about 3000 per year in fuel over the SUV.

Global Warming, but I have been told it is all a great big socialist lie.

Terrorist? Shit man, I worry more about the moron driving their SUV's next me, and being hit me meterior (statistically I'm more likely to be a falling space rock than being blown up,... as long as I don't live in Iraq)

Nuclear Power is fine, providing we are will to plan to handle all the toxic waste from the mining and spent fuel. I prefer solar and wind power, their cheap and easy and create jobs.

Christians are too preachy, go read some of the rightwing christian f*#knutters and get back to me about it.

Hey America problems are America's problems, if they have no problem with giving up their freedoms and rights for the alledge "security" that the Bush and Cheney prove, it their own funeral as a country.

Let me put it this way, I felt safer in Mexico for the last two weeks than I do when I visit the USA,... and surprisingly so dis many of the Americans I met while on vacation. You would believe the number who felt compelled to appoligize for their nation actions and behavour while under Bush.

The left is stupider than I thought.

Nevertheless, Zorpheus (with a tip of the hat to the ever dopey E in MD), thanks for demonstrating what the left fears: the USA. Look at that: Misplaced fear all around. You fear meteors more than terrorism? Good. Another example of mental disability, the inability to measure risks or distinguish dangers. Bravo, Zorph. Your perception of reality is worse even than your spelling.

Perfect, boys. I got just what I expected. Thanks.

Misplaced fears? Inability to measure risks? What the hell are you talking about?

I can't speak for Canada, it was enough of a pain in the as trying to find decent stats for the US. But if you total up all the terrorist attacks where Americans have died globally since between the years 1995 and 2004 (according to the US Dept of State) there were less than 7000 Americans killed in terrorist actions. However after their methodology was called into question the DOS won't be publishing this report anymore. I've been unable to find decent stats for 05 to 07, but we can effectively double this number and it won't make much difference. 14,000 people over the course of 12 years in a nation with (now at least) 300 million people is statistically insignificant.

The odds of dying of anyone one specific cause in a year are calculated by dividing that year's population by the total number of deaths from that cause. Your lifetime odds are then calculated by dividing the one year odds by your average life expectancy.

About 20,000 people die every year from the Flu. That would be well over a hundred thousand people during the same time period. My odds of dying of the flu this year are one in 15,000.

To put in in perspective my 2006 odds of dying in a car wreck was one in 7000.

You can even check out the American Heart Association's statistics, in 2004 alone 871,500 people died from cardiovascular disease. That's almost a million people in ONE year and those odds are one in 344.

I'm not afraid of terrorists, or meteor strikes or car accidents or global warming, or e-coli infected spinach either, or bird flu, or West Nile Virus. None of these statements invalidate the need to take action on these issues. Nor does the statistically insignificant chance that I might die in a terrorist attack mean that I approve of the the Bush administration or any other governmental body throwing out over two hundred years of rights and civil protections. Nor does it give them carte blanche to ignore US law as they have done.

What I am afraid of is people like you who continue to give the arguments these politicians use to keep us all hiding under our beds and ingoring their corruption more credence. Be they US or Canadian or another nation, right wingers seem to be doing this cheerleading because for whatever reason they seem to believe that they will somehow benefit by the creation of an authoritarian state such as Bush wants to make. The truth is more likely that they will discard the right wing as soon as they are no longer useful and then we'll all have to suffer together. Terrorism isn't something to take lightly, but no government, no matter how benign should be trusted with absolute unquestioned authority.

You talk about the left keeping their heads in the sand? The fact that the wingnuts are so willing to throw away every right, privilege and protection they and every one else has for the illusion of safety from a boogie man that isn't likely to ever touch them or anyone they know is a sign that -they- are the cowards.
