That scraping you hear ...

... is the sound of goalposts being moved, as the Blogging Tories' Phantom Observer reports on how Captain Charisma got caught with his nutsack hanging out after he foolishly insulted Stephane Dion for never having served in the military when Harper had never served himself, at which point Stevie Boy tries to change the subject:

Right Hon. Stephen Harper (Prime Minister, CPC): Mr. Speaker, I will just say that it is true I have never served in the armed forces. I consider that an experience that I have missed in my life, but I can say that I have always lived and worked and paid my taxes in this country.

This feeble towel snap is, of course, from the leader of the party that imported right-wing loon Dianne Haskett out of Washington D.C. to run in London North Centre, after which Haskett -- having had her ass handed to her by both the Liberals and Elizabeth May -- beat a hasty and classless retreat back south of the border.

Yeah, Steve, you're just the guy to be staking a claim to that moral high ground.

No, I've never been in the armed forces but they let me put a flak vest on after I threatened to take theirs away. and yes, I've only started travelling outside the country since I've been PM, why do you ask?

Okay, I deleted my earlier comment which revealed that I, being the lazy bastard that I am, had not read the link.

Let me reword what I said.
What a jackass Harper is. I hope that other Canadians are hearing about all of his bullshit and that it strikes them the same way it strikes me, and that nobody votes for him ever again.
