Dude, where's my surge?

So ... how's that "surge" working out for you? Ooooooooh ... not so well, I see.

LOGIC FOR THE HARD OF THINKING
: Like the obedient little right-wing stenographer that she is, Kate McMillan brings us the good news from the killing fields:

"One by one, the 18 provinces of Iraq are being turned over to the Iraqis"

There's more optimism, of course, with nary a mention of this (from my earlier link):

WASHINGTON – The Bush administration is quietly on track to nearly double the number of combat troops in Iraq this year, an analysis of Pentagon deployment orders showed Monday.

When additional support troops are included in this second troop “surge,” the total number of U.S. troops in Iraq could increase from 162,000 now to more than 200,000 – a record high number – by the end of the year.

Gosh, Kate ... things might be getting quieter over there, and almost 40,000 more troops are on their way to Iraq. Think there might be a connection?

No, no, take your time, think it over and get back to me. I wouldn't want to rush you.

BECAUSE YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY BORED AND NEED SOMETHING TO DO, take a few minutes and read the comments on that post of Kate's. Really. The sheer airheaditude is something to behold. Feel free to select your favourite.

I guess when things are going really, really, well, there will be 300,000 troops. 500,000...Perfection

Geez, it's too bad bush II doesn't read KKKate's blog. Then he'd finally know what's really going on.

Either that or KKKate's a deluded dipshit who doesn't know her hero is complete, utter failure.

My comment:

"What's that I hear? Someone comparing Iraq to the recently independent United States of America in 1783? That's so inaccurate it's crazy.

You guys simply refuse to quit don't you! Seventy percent of Americans have wised up to the lies and delusions of you bushlovers, and all your self-congratulatory hooting about your superior knowledge isn't going to change that.

It isn't funny anymore people, give it up. It's been longer for the US than World War II. Germany and Japan combined were more peaceful once significant military operations were concluded, than is Iraq today.

If you think it's so peaceful and so successful, why is bush II considering sending 40,000 more soldiers? Why does Iraq have millions of refugees? Why are there over one-hundred thousand dead?

You might believe that you're governments are implementing democratic reforms in Iraq and Afghanistan, but that's more a testament to your deep, unmanageable stupidity and gullibility than it is to anything going on in the real world.

Please, for your own sakes, give it up!"

The biggest motivator for my skepticism has always been the gullible fools like KKKate who, incoherently, lap up the "MSM's" good news about Iraq and parse the hell out of the bad news. I suspect the unschooled KKKate knows she's not credible; on some level, I think most of the propagandists know that as well.

By the way, I think KKKate blocks your links when your blog is the referrer, CC. I can never go from your link right to her post; I always have to cut and past it in a new browser window.

What a censorious bitch.

Once blocked, I just go into the address window, delete one character, get an error, then replace it.

Thank you, crabgrass, that's an easy fix.
About those comments..."The soldiers of the coalition and the statesmen leading those countries have successfully given the people of Iraq (starved, beaten, tortured and butchered by Saddam and his thugs) a reason to live!!" Jema54
54 must be the number of the dimension this being inhabits.

An even simpler fix which works in firefox, at least, is simply to click the button for "go to address in location bar" after the initial denial.

And I see that tiggy is keeping up with current events as well as he usually does. How many months has CC been whining about just this sort of thing?

What a pair of shitheads!
