As hard as it may be to believe ...

... neo-con "pundit" Adam Daifallah manages to demean himself and embarrass his species even further.

It's really quite impressive -- just when you think you've reached the bottom of the barrel in terms of Canada's conservatives, someone comes along and lifts up the barrel.

Outside of the sad little neo-con circle, that has zero credibility. He is a walking, talking joke.

It was probably pointless to do so, but here's what I posted at Daffy's site (we'll see if he allows it):

Gore's quote:

"During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

Actual quotes from just a few experts on Gore's role:

Vincent Cerf, senior VP with MCI Worldcom, the "Father of the Internet":

"The Internet would not be where it is in the United States without the strong support given to it and related research areas by the Vice President in his current role and in his earlier role as Senator."

Marc Andreesen, inventor of Mosaic Browser, Netscape Communications:

"[Gore] had people buying into the concept of the information superhighway before anybody had an idea about what it would be"

Joseph E. Traub, computer science professor at Columbia University:

[Gore] "was perhaps the first political leader to grasp the importance of networking the country. Could we perhaps see an end to cheap shots from politicians and pundits about inventing the Internet?"

Grow up, folks. If you want to trade barbs of left wing politicians mis-speaking (Gore, Kerry) with right-wing politicians mis-speaking (Ronald Reagan, Dan Quayle, George W. Bush), you'll lose every time.
