Thanks for coming ...

... just don't let the door whack you in the ass on the way out.

Via Robert, we learn of the ethnic cleansing going on over at the Blogging Tories. But the part I like best is Taylor's lame-ass rationalization for dropping someone from the BT aggregator:

As for the aggregator, it's difficult to filter out posts that have nothing to do with Canadian politics so I've opted for non-inclusion of your blog in the aggregator. I'll bend if you get the Canadian politics posts to over 50%. Sorry.

And since we here in the leftosphere are nothing if not helpful, I think we should all give Stephen a hand and point out to him any blogs currently in the BT aggregator that don't quite measure up to that 50% Canadian political content minimum.

I'm guessing that, in between the Bush worship, the fetal idolatry, and the perpetual theft of links directly from Matt Drudge, "Faux" News, Little Green Footballs and Republican press releases (hi, Jonathan), there's got to be at least a few BT sites in the aggregator that don't quite satisfy that content requirement.

So drop a note in the comments section here and we'll collect a list of offending BTs and ship them off to Stephen. After all, he's a busy man. It's the least we can do.

AFTERSNARK: As I type, one can skim the current main page over at the BTs, where one finds links to blog posts on teachers, Eastern Ontario's rudest driver, North Korea, the World Series of baseball, old rock music, Mats Sundin's hat trick, the United Flight 93 movie, Kim Jong Il, more Kim Jong Il, the Democrats, the UK Chief of the General Staff, Islam vs Christianity, and even more North Korea.

But perhaps the most out-of-place link from the aggregator is this one from "Proud to be Canadian", in which PtBC's chief fuckwit Joel Johannesen touts the talents of "their" Cinnamon Stillwell, from the San Francisco Chronicle's SFGate.com, apparently babbling on about the self-censorship of Western civilization -- and not a sniff of Canadian politics to be seen for miles around.

Of course, the funniest thing about the laughably-misnamed "Proud to be Canadian" disaster of a web site is its overpowering stench of American dumbfuckery, as proudly represented by ignorant, screeching yobs like John Stossel, Doug Giles and -- God help us all -- Ann Coulter (among others). And yet, there it is -- PtBC is a happy member of Stephen Taylor's little right-wing aggregator, despite its embarrassingly low content of anything representing meaningful Canadian political coverage.

So, if I were you, M. "blog quebecois," I wouldn't take that dissing from Stephen personally. I'm guessing you were simply not sufficiently ranty or something. I'm guessing that, more than anything else, not being batshit, right-wing nuts is pretty much a death sentence for being a preferred member of Stephen's wingnut cabal. It's kind of the way things work over there.

I'm surprised you hadn't noticed by now.
