Lies, damned lies and Blogging Tory innumeracy.

Hmmm ... I don't know ... this might be a bit verbose:

Sorry, I couldn't resist using that title, which was a tribute to Ken Dryden's anti-Harper rhetoric. Anyway, despite "dropping" Conservative support these past few weeks, Harper remains the PM of choice for 36% of Canadians. Bob Rae doesn't even come close at 26%, while Ignatieff would stand at 23%, Dion at 21% and Kennedy at 17%.

Let me think ... how about something a little punchier ... maybe:

No matter which Liberal leader is factored into the comparison, PM Stephen Harper is never selected as the PM of choice even 40% of the time.

Yeah. That's better.

BY THE WAY, do I even need to point out that "True North" Jason doesn't even seem to understand the logistics of the poll?

I simply cannot understand why you are trashing Stephen. If Stephen is polling at 36% he's got an approval rating right in the neighborhood of George W. Bush!

Hail Harper!

Jason's profile:

I'm a 12th grade high school student living in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. I enjoy discussing political and economic issues, as well as anything pertaining to the state of society today. I hope I can provide a youth's perspective on current events, one that's not tainted by leftist teaching. I'm aware of Churchill's famous quote regarding young conservatives, but in today's world it seems those young and without heart are planted firmly on the left

Translation: He's a snot-nosed little twit who should get off the computer, stop watching so much reality teevee, read more, start dating and basically shut the hell up.

I blame yuppies for breeding a generation of idiots like this.

Well, Jason's perspective appears to be untainted by any teaching whatsoever. So, in all fairness, you'd have to give him that one.

Chairman Mao had similar thoughts on ideas unsullied by conventional wisdom and experience.

Our society is breeding little Maoists. Just goes to show....whether you're a rice-picking peasant in the Chinese countryside without access to electricity, let alone media of any kind, or you're bored teenager in suburban Vancouver with a world of useless information at your fingertips to be absorbed uncritically, it works out to pretty much the same thing.
