Penny wise, pound totally fucking ignorant.

This is delightfully timely. As a refresher, recall how so many of Canada's wankers have their Underoos in a bunch over the government funding of Status of Women Canada (like this one, who is just as much of a dickwad as stupid cunt Dianne Wood in insisting in referring to SWC as "SOW" 'cuz, hey, that's like totally, totally funny if you're into infantile toilet humour, ya know):

One wonders what exactly SOW has been doing with its $23 million a year to improve the lot of Canadian women. The only women's lot who have been improved, it seems, would be those who work for SOW and get grant money from it.

$23 million per year? Outrageous, they say. A waste of money, they say. So one just can't wait for the wanker outrage once this hits the fan over at Assclown Central, right?

Alison alerts us to the flap going on at Daily Kos over this diary: Canada Forks Over $450 Million Donation to Repugs. The diary reports that the softwood deal "negotiated by Bush and his Canadian lackey, Harper will see $450 million funnelled straight past Congress and the US treasury, and will go instead, directly to the Bush Whitehouse".

$450 million. Gosh, you'd think that, if a mere $23 million can get the assclowns all worked up, surely that much larger amount is just going to have them foaming at the mouth and biting the heads off live kittens in pure outrage, wouldn't it? Not really.

And you are absolutely not surprised at any of this, are you?

At least she's not posting parody articles and thinking they're real - then deleting them. Like you just did.

Ha! You got duped by that kidney article!

Good stuff - although scary enough that despite the fact that it's satire, it's all too believable.

Yeah, I read the first couple lines, posted, realized it, and deleted. So sue me.

Let's hope that after this you never accuse anyone else of being illiterate. Why would you post a link to something you haven't even read?

You make an excellent point, so I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. The next time a Blogging Tory posts something, realizes it was totally idiotic and deletes that post within five minutes (as I did), I promise -- cross my heart -- that I will refrain from describing that person as a totally uninformed, illiterate dumbass.

However, when it comes to any of the Blogging Tories realizing they fucked up and taking responsibility for it, well, you and I both know the chances of that, don't we?

So ... are we done here?

You're so mannerly and erudite, when you're not calling people "stupid cunts", of course.

Gosh, Olaf, don't you have better things to do? Like maybe getting a clue about how religion being tax-exempt actually does cost the rest of us taxpayers?

Just a suggestion.

As a woman, I am writing to protest in the strongest possible terms your unfortunate and gratuitous use of the "c word" to describe Ms Wood.
It is utterly inappropriate. Coulter is a cunt; Wood is just a silly bint.

Alison is right. We have to be more nuanced in our incivility. I reserve the "c word" for people with some stature.

Besides, it confuses the fuckwitted knob-polishers like Olaf up there.

Are you people reading the post? Who cares that cc mistook a parody for something real. The Harper government is giving Bush & Republicans more money for their fall elections than they had in their entire campaign budget last election. Open your eyes!

Haha,

Seriously though, this is the most entertaining blog I frequent. No where else have I been called a "fuckwitted knob polisher" for making a totally irrelevant comment in jest. You're right, Ti-Guy, I am confused.

I understand how tax-breaks cost the taxpayers; I made a thoughtless error in distinguishing between a fully-funded government program and a tax break, when both do, in fact, cost the taxpayer, for which I shall be forever regretful and embarrased.

You're missing the point, Olaf. There's no crime in making a mistake. But it is a problem when you're being snarky or condescending at the same time.

Recall, back here, where you wrote:

"Despite your ranting, you're not really paying anything more for these things."

Yeah, that sort of patronizing bullshit will definitely piss me off. Especially when I'm right.

Thanks for the link above, to which I will add a link here:

$450 million slush fund for Bush, just in time for the midterms.

Down South, shrill is a badge of honor. We're tired of making nice.
