I think I see the flaw in your plan ...

I'm pretty sure this is not going to work out well in the long run:

A decade after the Pentagon declared a zero-tolerance policy for racist hate groups, recruiting shortfalls caused by the war in Iraq have allowed "large numbers of neo-Nazis and skinhead extremists" to infiltrate the military, according to a watchdog organization.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks racist and right-wing militia groups, estimated that the numbers could run into the thousands, citing interviews with Defense Department investigators and reports and postings on racist Web sites and magazines.

"We've got Aryan Nations graffiti in Baghdad," the group quoted a Defense Department investigator as saying in a report to be posted today on its Web site, www.splcenter.org. "That's a problem."

So ... recruiting hate-filled bigots, training them militarily, equipping them with some of the most kick-ass weapons ever invented and turning them loose on an entire society of swarthy foreigners who all talk kind of funny and haven't even had the fucking grace to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

I don't see a problem here. Do you see a problem here?

Anyone unable to see this as a problem right now, on the grounds that these guys will be "over there", will have a second chance to see the problem when these guys return home to civilian life.

with any luck they will be killed in action...

No. With any luck, they're going to find themselves in a life-threatening situation from which they will be rescued by a compassionate native. The cognitive dissonance will subsequently make their brain explode ... or will make them re-examine their fundamental bigotry.

Either way works for me.

While combat changes people, I've come to question the fundamental humanity of the bigots.

This reminds me of a story about a man who created a golem to avenge his honour. Unfortunately, the golem did what the man wanted and then became out of control, so continued doing what he had been programmed to do, kill, including killing his creator.
These young folks who comprise the skinhead movement, have been indoctrinated into hate from the earliest age. It worries me no end that they are being sent over into a volatile situation, where other young people of different faiths and values have also been indoctrinated into hate. They will feed off one another, and we could be looking at the return of the crusades. I am not being hysterical, just wondering about human nature when circumstances become extreme. I've been listening to BBC and RFI and other international station, who actually report what's going on around the world without the Polyanna spin, and all I can ask is - What the hell have we got ourselves into?

hence... the hope they are all killed in action. It is our only hope. Think about it... who exactly is volunteering to go over to the desert and fight... those filled with hate, seeking more hate. With any luck they will be destroyed by hate... in bullet form. And that is OK with me.

Better they come back in body bags (even if we cannot seethemon TV) then in triumph to spread more of their hate back home. Send more of them them, send them all. Maybe some will learn, but the ignorant shall perish.. preferably before they have had a chance to reproduce.
