All-night stakeouts just got a lot more fun, I'm guessing.

Is that a nightstick in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

I wish thehm the best. But forgive me, the first thing I thought of when I saw the headlines was Brokeback Mounties.

From your link:

Herm Wills, president of the Nova Scotia branch of the Campaign Life Coalition, isn’t eager to celebrate the force’s latest first.

So much xenophobia, so little time, eh? I mean, is Campaign Life worried that one of these two guys will have an abortion?

It's a sign of the times that one cannot celebrate the love that two people find, and commit to, because they happen to be of the same sex. What is wrong with people who oppose this? It has nothing to do with heterosexual marriage, in spite of the protestations of the religious ignoratti; it has nothing to do with evil; in spite of the religious spewing of the bible; it has nothing to do with anything other than the two people who are declaring their love for one another. The fact that they are law enforcement officers has nothing to do with anything. They are human, they seek human companionship and quite frankly, who are we, as a civilization where we are able to accept paedophilic activity by priests and tourists without getting insensed, yet we cannot accept two men (or two women) who love each other and their families. Good luck to them both. I hope their marriage lasts longer than my marriage and subsequent relationship (14 years for marriage, 3 years for relationship) Neither were in trouble because of SSM, I did it all on my own.

How many jokes with 'Musical Ride' in the punchline can you think of?
