PM Stephen Harper replaces member of women's Olympic hockey team with Tie Domi.

(CC News) -- In a surprise announcement this morning, Prime Minister Stephen Harper replaced Olympic women's hockey team member and Canadian flag bearer Danielle Goyette with Toronto Maple Leafs right winger Tie Domi.

"Yes," admitted Harper, "I understand it's a bit of a surprise, and I expect to receive some superficial criticism for it. But, really, it's in the best interests of our Olympic gold medal chances and, therefore, of the country in general."

Continued Harper, "I understand some peoples' reservations about reaching outside of the gender, but look at it this way. If the girls are involved in a tight game, perhaps with a medal on the line, I want to have the best people available. Particularly someone like Domi who can crack a few heads if that's what it takes."

In moderately-related news, Harper also announced that Canadian Olympic downhill skier Jean-Philippe Roy of Ste-Flavie, Quebec was being replaced with 2005 downhill bronze medallist Michael Walchhofer of Austria because, as Harper put it, "Walchhofer's way better. I've seen Jean-Philippe ski. What a loser."

Way to go Stephen. It is time to show those left-lib feminazis from Hockey Canada that their attempt to castrate our great game won't be tolerated. I say we let Our Great Leader build a firewall around the men's game and let those eastern femiratzis freeze in the dark!
