It's sort of like the Razzies, only stupider.

Oh, this is delicious. Via The Green Knight, we find Paul Wells in fine form:

On a not-unrelated note, this corner is now accepting nominations for the first SDA Award, for the most comically abject refusal to criticize Harper for behaviour that was so recently held up as proof of Martin's moral vacuity. The SDA Award applauds blind partisanship at its most absurd.

Or its most typical. Whatever.

SIDE NOTE
: For my non-Canadian readers who need some context, "SDA" refers to a Canadian web site run by a redneck racist female who aspires to be Michelle Malkin. Chase yer dreams, baby; that's what I always say.

MY NOMINATION: I think we can set the bar for the first SDA Award pretty high with none other than Pete Rempel over here, who defends Harper by writing:

This is getting ridiculous. What's the point of having a leader if not to entrust him with authority to make decisions for the good of the party and country?

But I'm sure there are other worthy candidates over here, if you can wade through the hypocrisy.

I like the idea of SDA awards. Could I please recommend a website created by a sad artist that hates everyone who does not have similar resentments, but one that attracts an inordinate amount of ultra right wing wannabes?
It's a sure winner, honest!
If that is not acceptable, then AWN would be my next suggestion. Similar meme.
