CPC to Canada: Ignore all that previous outrage, OK?

Shorter CPC party: "We have principles. And if you don't like them, well, we have others."

Lots more coverage over at Progressive Bloggers.

APPARENTLY, Canadians are mightily unimpressed with Mr. Emerson.

IT GETS FUNNIER: Only last year, CPC MP Helena Guergis of Simcoe-Grey co-sponsored a bill to deal with floor crossers. One wonders just how fast someone can sell their principles.

The word I got from someone who worked the phones for Ian Waddell's campaign was that people who would normally vote NDP were voting Liberal in order to keep the Conservatives out. When you couple that with the fact that the conservative candidate came in 3rd behind the two left leaning parties, it is very clear that Emerson's first priority is Emerson, not his constituants.

I hope that everyone who voted Liberal for strategic reasons contacts Emerson and accuses him of misrepresenting himself and demand that he step down.

I have some pretty unsavoury suspicions about this whole mess and I am disgusted. I am bothered when anyone crosses the floor, but this smacks of premeditation.
