Sorry, what was all that "last throes" stuff again?

Still confused about what Dick Cheney meant when he said that the Iraqi insurgency was in its "last throes"? Let NYT columnist and uber-wanker David Brooks explain it:

Insurgent attacks are up. Casualties are up. Few Iraqi security forces can operate independently, so far. There aren't enough U.S. troops to hold the ground they conquer. The insurgents are adaptable, organized and still learning.

Now you know.

The pundit who keeps on giving:

On the one hand, there are signs of progress. ...There were reports this week of insurgents fighting each other, foreign against domestic.

Well, there you go! That's a glimmer of hope: more parties entering the conflict. Things are sure to start settling down now.

And yet the hard right LA Times is saying the opposite; lying about the Iraqi Resistance (and they are The Resistance - just ask Michael Moore) "failing".

Same with some neocon from The American Enterprise. He claims he was in Iraq for 2 months and that The Resistance has lost.

I've been reading a lot of propaganda lately from the KKKarl Rove-controlled media saying that our beloved Resistance Against Imperialist White Male Hegemony has lost. These repugs lie every time they open their mouthes and get away with it because they control the media.

Oh, that's funny, Cynic. You used "David Brooks" and "explain" in the same sentence. Oh, I can't hardly stand it.
