Governor of Baghdad assassinated. White House announces that this shows progress.

(CC News) - Responding to the recent
assassination of the Governor of Baghdad, White House spokesreptile Scott McClellan announced that this just demonstrates that "freedom is on the march in Iraq," and proves how desperate the insurgency has become.

"It's actually good news," continued McClellan. "As long as the terrorists are killing Iraqi governors there in Baghdad, they're not killing them over here in the streets of Cleveland, or Kansas City."

President Bush responded aggressively to the assassination by extending his Texas vacation another month in order to clear more brush.
